The YCBA Management Board delegates responsibility for selection of players for the Northern Bridge League, Presidents Cup and Tollemache to committees. There are many factors to take into account in selection decisions, but the main considerations are:

  • Established partnerships;

  • Success in teams events, rather than pairs;

  • More weight given to good performance in high quality teams events, against less familiar opposition;

  • Consistent results over several years.

The current composition of the selection committees can be found >> Here

If you would like to be considered for any of Yorkshire's teams, please make yourself known to:-
Janet Latham , (or any member of the relevant committee) You can e-mail her at:- asstsecretary@ycba.co.uk or tel 01423 879438 by the end of February
The season has four fixtures, all on Saturdays, usually between July and October
YCBA pays the entry fees, but there is a charge made at the venue to cover the cost of
catering & hire of the venue. This is currently £12.50 per player, of which YCBA pays £5.50

Other Inter-County Competitions

(Tollemache cup and President's cup)
The entry fees for these competitions will be paid in full by the YCBA and a sum of £50 may be
allocated to each player if an overnight stay is required, by prior agreement with the Management Board
